Afro Fusion is a dynamic dance form that blends styles from across the African continent. The instruction draws on diverse genres such as Coupé Décalé from Ivory Coast, Naija Style from Nigeria, Ndombolo from DR Congo, Afrohouse and Kuduro from Angola, Amapiano from South Africa, Azonto from Ghana and many others. Sometimes elements from dancehall and hip-hop are also included.
Each class emphasizes energy, rhythm and joy. Content varies depending on the instructor's background and style — some focus on one dance style at a time, while others blend multiple African dances in the same lesson.
Free trial class offered, as long as spaces are available. Autumn season runs from September to December (weeks 36-49), and spring season from January to May (weeks 3-17). Registration fee: 775 kr. per season, with progressive price reductions throughout the season. Arranged by Global Kidz.
