Meet Angel Bat Dawid, a groundbreaking composer, conductor, and multi-instrumentalist from Chicago with over 35 years of experience in music. She is recognized as one of the leading voices in Afrofuturism, bridging Black musical traditions with contemporary technology and experimental soundscapes.

Dawid works at the intersection of classical composition, conducting, and improvisation. She has performed at some of the world's most prestigious concert venues including Carnegie Hall and the Barbican Centre, as well as at jazz festivals around the globe. Her album "The Oracle" received critical acclaim, and she has collaborated with artists such as André 3000, Moor Mother, and Shabaka Hutchings. As Artist in Residence at Northwestern University's Black Arts Consortium and a 2025 United States Artist Fellow, she actively contributes to the development of contemporary music.
