Astrid Lindgren Day

A festive day celebrating children's author Astrid Lindgren and her iconic characters. You can watch a short film about the author and unleash your creativity by colouring in your favourite characters from her universe.

A screening of the film The Little Big One – Astrid Lindgren plays on loop in the main hall – a 7-minute documentary offering insight into the author's life, including her thoughts about starting school. A large creative table is set up with plenty of colours so you can bring Emil, Pippi, Karlsson on the Roof and all her beloved characters to life in your own way.

The event is designed for children from 3 years old.
