bed is a Japanese four-piece band from Tokyo creating music across genres – a blend of techno, pop, punk and classic rock. The band was formed in 2021 by Sinji, Une, Shun-1 and Joneu, all frustrated with the Japanese music industry and determined to forge their own path unbounded by industry conventions.
bed is known as one of Japan's finest live bands and has made an impact on the international post-punk scene. Their music is deliberately hard to categorize – they blend soft rock with techno anarchy, dance-punk and raw punk elements. Their debut EP 円相 | Enso explores precisely this musical flexibility, showcasing a band actively resisting the music industry's drift towards uniformity.
