Blåly / Release Concert at Union

Blåly invites you to a release concert for their second album Resonans, which comes out on October 23rd. Experience the trio live the day before, as they celebrate the album release with an exclusive concert where you can buy the vinyl before its official market release.

Blåly performs Nordic instrumental jazz built on hypnotic piano patterns, flowing grooves, and ethereal double bass sounds. The music blends jazz, folk, and Nordic sonic traditions into a soundscape balancing melancholy, calm, and intensity. Critics have called the group an expansion of the spectrum for new Nordic jazz.

The trio consists of Barbara Fiig (piano), Johan Kjær Houver (double bass), and Timon Matern (drums). Their debut album Nystalgi from 2024 was named Album of the Week on DR P8 Jazz, among other accolades, and the band has since performed at sold-out, critically acclaimed concerts.
