Centimeter Marathon on Amager

A fun running experience designed for children aged 2 to 10. Centimeter Marathon is a mini version of a marathon – the route is exactly 422 meters (42.195 centimeters) – where children get the chance to complete their own marathon distance. The event is part of the Road to Worlds, a series of warm-up events before the World Championships in half marathon and 5 km in Copenhagen in September 2026.

Children gather for warm-up with Rasmus Klump, who also hands out high-fives after the race and poses for pictures. Parents and grandparents can run alongside the children or stand ready with encouraging cheers at the finish line. If the route is too long for little legs, you can walk or jog with a stroller.

When children cross the finish line, gold medals, diplomas, and snacks await. Tickets are purchased with either a reflective vest or polka-dot t-shirt – parents and grandparents run free with registered children.

Schedule:

• 15:30: Collection of race bibs and t-shirts
• 16:30: Warm-up with Rasmus Klump
• 16:40: Race starts
