Future and media analyst Christiane Vejlø, one of Denmark's leading experts on artificial intelligence and the relationship between humans and technology, explores AI's role in our workplaces, education, arts, healthcare, and everyday lives. The lecture poses a critical question: what does it mean for humanity when machines increasingly perform tasks we once considered uniquely human?
Vejlø examines what we must preserve when integrating AI into society, how we ensure technology benefits us more than it harms us, and how we can create space for humanity. Drawing on her popular book "Pinlige Onkler – and other things we'll need in a future with AI," she demonstrates how qualities such as empathy, love, doubt, randomness, friction, boredom, and mistakes prove to be crucial strengths in a technological future. The lecture is as much about people, relationships, democracy, and the society we wish to live in as it is about AI.
Christiane Vejlø has, through leading positions in the telecommunications and media industries since 2001, focused on technological innovation and ethical issues surrounding AI. She has served as an adviser to several governments and is a frequent speaker for Danish business and at international conferences.
