Attend an afternoon dedicated to important conversations about bodies, time, care, and the societal frameworks that shape our everyday lives. Through talks and discussions, writers, curators, and scholars meet to explore questions about how the world can be organized to accommodate different people's needs – and what happens when it is not.
The event draws on the art exhibition IN PROTEST AND IN CARE at O - Overgaden and examines how artistic practice can create space for experiences and perspectives that otherwise lack room and language in public discourse.
Program highlights
- Writer Emma Holten in conversation with curator and researcher Anne Kølbæk Iversen about care and about not always being able – or having to – keep pace with society
- Margaret Price, professor at Ohio State University, sharing insights on communities that can accommodate people with different needs
- Jessica Holmes, lecturer at the University of Copenhagen, exploring how deafness and hearing loss can open new ways of experiencing and creating music
From 4 PM onwards, there will be an opportunity to mingle and meet the day's speakers.
