Aviation history is the subject of a fascinating lecture by Casper Dahm, who has spent his entire life pursuing his passion for aviation and model-building within civil aviation—particularly focused on SAS. His extensive collection and expertise form the foundation for a comprehensive overview of DDL and SAS development.
The lecture unfolds the story of Danish and Scandinavian civil aviation: from the early days at Kløvermarken through the founding of Det Danske Luftfartsselskab and later SAS. You will gain insight into important chapters such as the "smørrebrødskrig" (sandwich war), the long-haul polar routes, and the beginning of the charter era. The lecture is combined with a PowerPoint presentation and a physical exhibition of materials, souvenirs, and merchandise from Dahm's collection.
