To mark Halloween, the Glyptotek is hosting a special guided tour about death, the afterlife, and the ideas that have made death both compelling and frightening throughout history. The tour moves through the museum's collections with gruesome tales from both modern art and ancient Egypt, and along the way participants encounter different views of death — including one of the world's earliest ghost stories. The tour also includes a visit to the museum's mummy cellar, focusing on ancient Egyptian beliefs about what awaits on the other side.
The guided tour at 12.30 pm will be in English, while the guided tours at 2 pm will be in Danish. Meeting point: the Information, and duration: 60 min. Ticket prices: Season-ticket holder: DKK 50, Adult: DKK 145, Under 27/student with a valid student card: DKK 115, Under 18: DKK 30. The ticket includes admission to the museum throughout the day. Tickets are non-refundable but may be passed on.
