The Happy Lion – Puppet Theatre Performance

A warm and funny puppet theatre performance for the very youngest, following a lion who leaves his enclosure at the zoo to explore the city. Although he is happy and curious, the city's people are frightened when they see him. Based on Louise Fatio's classic children's book, the performance tells of friendship, courage, curiosity and the adventure of venturing out into the world on your own terms.

After the performance, children have the opportunity to participate in a creative workshop where they can make their own animal mask inspired by the lion and other animals – or create their very own fantasy creature.

Venue: Stairway Theatre Hall
