What does your monster look like? A fascinating AI installation transforms the personal stories of passersby about life's monsters into a dynamic, collective portrait of our fears, nightmares, and inner forces. Artists Rika Yasui, Kim Wyon, and AI engineer Francisco Bulacio have created an installation that captures the pulse of our darkest thoughts and inner struggles through technology and creativity.
The installation invites both passersby and gallery visitors to share their own monster stories. Through artificial intelligence, these contributions are transformed into an interactive artwork visible both in the gallery's street window – accessible around the clock from the street – and inside the gallery itself. All electronic components are made from recycled materials, with certain parts sourced from Bazar Under Broen in Nørrebro.
The street monster and a photo pop-up exhibition from Swedish gallery KRAN are both part of Golden Days Festival – Monster. Visit Dark Gallery CPH at the following times: 9–20 September and 26–27 September. Open daily 13:00–17:00. Free admission.
