Urban Music School offers a 6-week DJ course designed for complete beginners with no prior experience. Under the guidance of DJ Andreas Varming, you'll learn everything from basic DJ techniques to developing your own musical style.
The course focuses on both theoretical and practical learning. You'll work with professional Pioneer equipment – the same gear you'll encounter in real clubs and venues. The curriculum includes how DJ controllers function, beatmatching, transitions, set building, music selection, and hands-on experience with professional equipment. Special emphasis is placed on music understanding, creativity, and the ability to create an authentic experience.
Throughout the course, you'll explore different genres and DJ styles to discover and develop your unique sound. As a final project, you'll record your own DJ set – your first musical calling card that you can share and build upon.
Practical info: 6 Wednesdays from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM, starting September 2nd, ending October 7th. Price: 1,500 DKK for the full course. Limited spaces – registration required.
