For All Saints' Day, the Glyptotek offers a themed guided tour exploring humanity's historical relationship with death and the afterlife. Visitors explore the museum's collections and encounter dark, bizarre and fascinating narratives – both from contemporary art and ancient Egypt. The tour unfolds through various cultural and artistic perspectives on mortality and spirituality, and showcases one of the world's oldest ghost stories among other treasures.
A particular highlight is a visit to the museum's Egyptian collections, where one encounters ancient Egyptian rituals and beliefs about life after death. The combination of art history, cultural history and archaeology provides a unique insight into humanity's timeless fascination with death's mysteries.
