Performers
- Lasse Rømer – trumpet and vocals
- Ole Matthiessen – piano
- Søren Anker Nielsen – guitar
- Jimmi Roger Pedersen – bass
Guitarist Søren Anker is a veteran in the Danish music scene with 25 years of experience from the Cirkusrevyen orchestra. Pianist Ole Matthiessen has been active in countless settings over 60 years. Trumpeter Lasse Rømer draws inspiration from Louis Armstrong and earns critical acclaim for his swinging playing. Bassist Jimmi Roger Pedersen studied under Niels-Henning Ørsted Pedersen and was a long-time duo partner with legendary jazz musicians.
The repertoire spans widely – from the oldest jazz classics through America's songbook to Danish, Swedish and French melodies. Everything is served in the orchestra's original interpretation. Guest performances may occur.
Hvide Lam, founded in 1807, is one of the country's oldest bars and the only place in Denmark where jazz is presented every single day (except Christmas Eve and New Year's Eve). Here you experience intimacy without large concert halls – perfect as a warm-up before heading out in the city or as a stopover on your way home from other events.
