A magical introduction to theater for the very youngest: children aged 0-4 years together with their adults visit a gardener's greenhouse, where among others a cheeky snail lives. In an almost wordless performance unfolds a poetic story about birth, fertility, death and renewal, told through animation and music.
The entire universe is created from scratch with hand-selected materials — crocheted, sewn and hand-painted elements. The plant grows magically through the use of a simple rope, and small insects come to life via manipulation with a stick. Composer Jacob Gurevitsch's music combines with sound effects from an autoharp, creating an atmosphere of warmth and wonder. It all celebrates the tomato plant and the slow, cyclical world around us.
