NAÏV: Ukrainian Visions marks Denmark's first exhibition dedicated to Ukrainian naïve art, its history and development. The collection comprises over 100 works by 20 Ukrainian artists, including Polina Raiko, Mariia Prymachenko, Hanna Sobachko-Shostak and Panas Yarmolenko.
The exhibition explores the distinctive visual expression within naïve art and its connections to folk culture, the Ukrainian avant-garde and the country's twentieth-century history. Through paintings, archival materials and artists' personal stories, NAÏV: Ukrainian Visions focuses on memory, loss and the ways Ukrainian culture continues to survive and remain visible today.
