Exploring Colour: Books on Display is The Colour Club’s third event and presents a curated collection of books about colour from the 1850s to the present day. The exhibition examines how our understanding and use of colour have developed through theory, history, psychology, art, and design.
The selection includes both rare and significant publications as well as contemporary editions that visitors can browse and read throughout the day. Featured works include titles by Robert Ridgway, Milton Bradley, Jacques Henri Bustanoby, Johannes Itten, Moses Harris, Thomas H. Wolf, and Goethe. In collaboration with GF Smith, Colorplan is also brought into the exhibition to explore colour through material, touch, and perception, and visitors are invited to contribute their own responses as part of a collective study of colour.
