A delightful weekend filled with common singing and music in all its varieties. Friday evening at 19:00, pianist and TV and radio presenter Mathias Hammer takes the stage as a guide through the evening's song collection. He selects the songs, inspires the participants and accompanies from the piano. Hammer is known for his enthusiasm for common singing and his ability to communicate the joy of shared musical experiences, so the evening will feature both professional insight and good humour.
Saturday brings an actual common song marathon from 09:00 to 14:00, with short breaks throughout and lunch included. Each hour introduces a new conductor or host who selects songs based on themes from the High School Song Book. The accompaniment at the piano is provided by Bente Kiil Toftegaard and Mads Damlund. Saturday concludes at 15:00 with a concert featuring the choir Tritonus.
