Join us for a cozy day filled with film, community and great food at Islands Brygge. The event starts at 12 with a film screening following a nine-year-old girl in Iraq who must bake a cake for the country's president. What sounds like a simple task becomes a challenging journey through a society marked by scarcity, fear and strict rules. The film blends warmth, humor and tension, telling a profound and inspiring story about childhood, courage and hope despite difficult circumstances. The film is in Arabic with Danish subtitles.
After the screening, everyone gathers for a community dinner from 2–3 p.m., with an opportunity for good food and pleasant conversation. All are welcome to participate in all or part of the event.
