Grandmother Flora's Green Fingers is a new Danish children's theatre production created by Helle Egsgaard and Marie Boye Thomsen, directed by Tabita Friis Kristensen. The performance runs for 45 minutes with no interval and is aimed at children aged 5–12 years.
The story follows Bo Tanik, a six-year-old girl with remarkable green fingers – a gift that in her urban neighbourhood only brings trouble and becomes a target for mockery. When Bo's mysterious grandmother Flora falls and hits her head, Bo and her parents move into Flora's spacious city apartment to care for her. There, Bo encounters a cosmopolitan woman with a secret past as an amateur botanist. On top of the apartment sits a neglected greenhouse filled with extraordinary plants – a world that suddenly opens Bo's eyes and reveals that, like Flora, she possesses the gift of communicating with plants.
