This event consists of two parts: an open guest lecture and a workshop exploring how our bodily experiences can shape our interaction with artificial intelligence.

Guest Lecture (15.00-16.00): Claudia Núñez-Pacheco presents a decade of research on bodily self-reflection as design material. She discusses how somaesthetic design meets artificial intelligence and how bodily knowledge can develop less data-centred approaches to technology. The lecture is open to all.

Workshop (16.00-18.00): Participants explore through guided somatic exercise and poetic dialogue with large language models how bodily knowledge can inform the design of systems for self-reflection. The workshop opens discussion about ethical questions and what it might mean to refuse large language models. Bring a laptop or smartphone with access to a language model if you wish to work with them during the workshop.

Claudia Núñez-Pacheco is a Senior Lecturer at the Department of Computer Science and Media Technology at Malmö University. Her research explores introspective and somatic practices to investigate aesthetic and generative qualities in our encounters with technology.
