Learn the art of wet felting and create your own little vegetarian skin in this hands-on workshop. With water, soap and carded wool, simple materials transform into beautiful, functional pieces – without using real animal hide.
You work with raw wool, felting it onto the back of continuous fleece pieces (one complete coat from a sheep). The result is a double-sided surface: one side resembles an authentic sheepskin, while the other showcases a fine-meshed felted structure. Your finished project works perfectly as a seat cushion, travel companion or decoration for your favourite furniture.
The workshop also explores the heathland landscape, wool's role, plant dyes and the project's sustainable mission. Hedestrik works to give Nordic sheep's wool – currently often left unused by farmers – new life. You'll gain insight into wool's climate legacy and learn to make conscious choices among alternatives, all as a counterpoint to industrial yarn and knitting.
All levels are welcome. Admission: 450 kr. Please note: tickets are non-refundable.
