Create your own felted bag through an engaging two-day course. You explore the fascinating process of wet felting with water, soap, and carded wool, learning fundamental techniques for felting around a template. The course provides insight into different wool types and Hedestrik's vision for Nordic textile culture.
Program:
- Day 1: Card wool, select a suitable piece from a fleece section for the bag front, and felt the handle
- Day 2: Layer wool for the bag body and complete felting. Add nautical rings to the handle if desired, and optionally sew the handle on
Work with your hands all day from 10–4 pm and learn textile craft traditions. Hedestrik focuses on Nordic wool as a byproduct from sheep farmers and highlights climate and ethical concerns through dogmatic and freestyle knitting as a counterpoint to commercial industry.
