Looking for a break where chronic pain and stressed thoughts can fade into the background? This relaxing workshop offers you the chance to find calm and focus through simple creative techniques – no prior experience needed.
We work with macramé, a meditative knotting technique where you create beautiful and practical items. It is not about performing or being creative beforehand, but about giving your mind and body a break and your hands meaningful work. The repetitive movements and focus on the process often help direct thoughts away from worries, stress, and discomfort.
What you take home
- Concrete macramé techniques that anyone can learn
- One or more self-created finished products (e.g., key ring, plant hanger, or dog toy)
- Inspiration for an activity that creates calm in everyday life
- Community with others who understand living with chronic pain
- An experience of mastery and presence
All materials are included, and the workshop is led by Stine Drøgemüller from Makram, who has practiced macramé since 2019 and makes creativity accessible to everyone. You choose your own project and are guided throughout – regardless of experience, energy level, or physical ability.
