Experience a meditative piano concert in the Glyptotek's magnificent Concert Hall. Pianist Tanja Zapolski, one of Scandinavia's most renowned classical musicians, unfolds a special concert programme under the theme Voices of Nature.
The music forms a poetic journey through Baroque precision, Romantic emotion, Impressionist colours and modern minimalism. Works by Bach, Grieg, Debussy, Ravel, Messiaen, Sibelius, Arvo Pärt and Ólafur Arnalds are woven together in a programme that depicts the voices of nature through birdsong, forest landscapes and the reflections of water. The programme is inspired by the exhibition The Animals' Arrival – Sculptures by Antoine-Louis Barye.
As an audience member, you can choose to lie or sit on borrowed yoga mats in dimmed lighting. The concert unfolds in reverence without applause – a form created for inner peace and reflection in historic surroundings.
