Are you passionate about writing and want to develop your skills alongside other young people? The Young Writers' Club at Bibliotekshuset is designed for you—if you love creating stories and want to become an even better writer.
Each week you receive instruction from Tea Bendix, an experienced author, illustrator, and graphic designer with extensive experience in children's literature, picture books, children's radio, and children's theater. She teaches across media forms and focuses on making the creative process lively and physical by working closely with material and developing your writing and drawing techniques.
In the club you learn different writing methods, genres, and participate in writing exercises. You also do drawing exercises, and at the end of the season you take part in a special competition where the other members write a poem for you. Meetings are held every Tuesday from 16.30 to 18.30, with free access to hot chocolate, juice, and popcorn during the session. Some sessions may take place outside the library.
You meet other young people who share your interests and form new friendships in an inspiring, open, and cozy atmosphere. The club runs from September 1 to November 24 with a break during the autumn holiday (week 42).
