A wrapping sample is a small yarn sketch where you experiment with colors and patterns before starting knitting or weaving. It is a creative practice that invites imaginative exploration, experimentation, and deeper engagement — while also creating a sense of presence and calm.
Author and weaver Astrid Skibsted has made the wrapping sample into genuine art and published the work Wrapping Sample Manifesto, which presents 200 wrapping samples through photography. In this evening, passages from the Manifesto are read aloud, and you are inspired to wrap together with other participants. All materials are provided, and coffee and tea are served during the workshop.
The event takes place at Islands Brygge Library in the library room. Participation is free, but registration is required via billetto.dk. The workshop is open to adults of all ages and is also welcome for non-Danish speakers — come as you are, regardless of experience.
