ILK x KU.BE no. 9: Solborg/Banke/Heebøll + Søndergaard

An exquisite musical meeting between three established Danish jazz musicians and vibraphonist prodigy Viktoria Søndergaard. The trio Solborg/Banke/Heebøll operates from a philosophy of releasing music through attentive, dynamic, and synergistic interplay, where members create transparent and elastic sound in an almost telepathic dialogue.

The quartet brings together some of the strongest voices in original Danish jazz today. Mark Solborg on guitar, Anders Banke on tenor saxophone and bass clarinet, and Bjørn Heebøll on drums and percussion have collaborated with artists including Pierre Dørge, Evan Parker, Egberto Gismonti, and Bon Iver. Viktoria Søndergaard, who is currently releasing her debut album "Music of Secrets" and recently made waves with the band BARYL, adds vibraphone and her clear musical intuition to the group.
