This introductory workshop offers a foundational introduction to singing bowls and sound bowls. You will learn the difference between machine-made and handcrafted instruments and how this affects the sound. The workshop covers proper technique to produce sound – from striking the sound bowl correctly to making the singing bowl "sing" using the rimming technique.
You also explore how to choose the bowl that suits your needs and discover the calming and pain-relieving effects these ancient instruments can have on body and mind. With both theoretical instruction and hands-on practice, you will have the opportunity to try many different bowls during the course. Singing bowls and sound bowls are provided, and if you already own some, you are welcome to bring them and practice with your own.
The course is led by sound therapist Lotte Koch. The price is 800 kr and includes light vegetarian lunch, coffee, tea and healthy snacks. A minimum of 6 participants is required, with a maximum of 12 able to attend.
