Iris Bergcrantz

Swedish singer and composer Iris Bergcrantz has established herself as a prominent voice on the Scandinavian jazz scene with her sonorous vocals and exceptional ability to deliver music with intimacy. In Paradise Jazz, she performs with pianist Magnus Hjorth, bassist Anders Fjeldsted, and drummer Andreas Svendsen.

Together they create a musical landscape that moves freely between jazz, experimental pop, Swedish folk music, and classical impressionism. Bergcrantz's crystalline voice stands at the center while the various musical influences blend into an atmospheric and wondrous expression.

Bergcrantz has released four albums under her own name. Young Dreams was nominated for a Danish Music Award for Vocal Jazz Album of the Year in 2020, and Trasighet och Fransar (2022) was nominated at Manifestgalan in the Jazz of the Year category. Her latest album Vi fanns förut received excellent reviews. She has performed on jazz stages and festivals worldwide, including A-Trane in Berlin and Rochester International Jazz Festival in the USA. As a member of the vocal group Åkervinda, she has performed at Sydney Opera House; the group was nominated for a Swedish Grammy in 2019 and won a DMA in 2024.
