Extreme fusion jazz night with two innovative bands. Zelva is a self-composing jazz-rock trio from Copenhagen that combines explosive energy with melodic finesse. The band balances between intense rock and intricate jazz through long improvised solos, funk riffs, and bebop passages. With double-delay electric guitar, deep drums, and melodic bass lines, Zelva draws inspiration from 1980s jazz-rock (Mike Stern) and 1970s rock (Led Zeppelin) – a playful and innovative blend of jazz, funk, and rock.
Malthazar is a new ensemble band featuring unique compositions by saxophonist Asger Maltha. The music combines catchy melodies with ambitious arrangements and engaging improvisation solos, rooted in a modern, groove-oriented jazz and fusion universe inspired by Herbie Hancock, Snarky Puppy, and Mathias Heise Quadrillion. With double pedals, effect pedals, and electronic synth-saxophone, Malthazar delivers an intense live experience that both surprises and captivates the audience.
