American singer-songwriter John Craigie, known as a modern troubadour, returns to VEGA for his third visit. His music fuses americana, folk, and classic singer-songwriter tradition into a distinctive sound defined by virtuoso guitar playing and emotionally resonant songwriting.
Craigie broke through with the album No Rain, No Rose (2017) and has developed a concert format where intimacy and direct audience connection take centre stage. He is known for creating moments that both entertain and invite reflection—a combination that has drawn comparisons to both Woody Guthrie and Mitch Hedberg.
He now performs with his latest work, I Swam Here (2026), recorded between New Orleans and Astoria. The album balances the pulsing, earthy energy of the American South with the quieter, contemplative tone of the West Coast, creating a sound that feels both vibrant and intimate.
As an experienced live performer, Craigie has shared stages with artists including Jack Johnson, Langhorne Slim, Brett Dennen, Mason Jennings, and Bella White. On October 22, he presents his distinctive universe of storytelling and guitar mastery at Ideal Bar with a concert in VEGA's intimate and captivating format.
