An engaging lecture on how to read and interpret the information on food packaging. Line Holt Nielsen, journalist and cand.scient. in public health science, takes you on an investigative journey through ingredient lists, nutritional labels, marks and messages on the front of ordinary supermarket products.
The presentation focuses on providing you with concrete tools to navigate the amount of information and make informed purchasing decisions — without judging products as right or wrong. You will have the opportunity to participate actively and test the methods yourself on different products.
Line Holt Nielsen works daily with food communication at Coop Madskole and is known for making knowledge about food both understandable and practically applicable. This event is part of Nørrebro Library's food theme day and is included in Copenhagen Libraries' "Wild about Science" festival, which runs through October and November.
