Join hobbyist researcher Jon Larsen on a fascinating quest to discover stardust when he visits Kosmosklubben. For decades, astronomers worldwide have searched for stardust in the depths of space and remote corners of the Earth. Yet finding stardust in urban areas has long been considered impossible—until Jon Larsen took on the challenge.
Armed with a broom and magnet, Jon hunts for microscopic particles on rooftops and in gutters. At this event, he shares his personal journey and discoveries, explaining his methods in detail. You'll also watch excerpts from the documentary film We Are Stardust, which chronicles Jon's stardust mission.
After the presentation, the group ventures outdoors equipped with magnets and bags to search for stardust themselves. Participants hand over their bags at the end, which Jon analyzes afterward. Results will be sent via email a few days later—you might discover you've found real stardust.
