Lívia Mattos BR

Brazilian accordionist, singer and songwriter Lívia Mattos performs her music at ALICE with her power trio. This award-winning musician creates a sparkling and distinctive soundscape where accordion meets tuba and drums in a unique instrumentation.

Mattos moves freely between forró, samba and other Brazilian traditional styles, which she combines with modern and experimental expression. The accordion becomes both a rhythmic engine and melodic instrument in her hands. The concert draws from her latest album "Verve" (2025) as well as earlier works "Vinha da Ida" (2017) and "Apneia" (2022).

With a background in circus arts, Mattos brings a strong theatrical and physical presence to the stage, created through captivating stagecraft and magnetic command. She has received international recognition from venues such as WOMEX and Montreux Festival.
