Join a thought-provoking debate evening on International Stammering Day about stammering, identity, shame, courage and the perceptions surrounding speaking differently.
The evening is built on five personal video interviews where four people – Alexander Raunsholt (host of the Stammeklubben Podcast), Cecilie Meldgaard Hansen (featured in Tabu with Rune Klan), Erik Holm (blogger at Ordkriger and participant in the TV 2 documentary I Am a Stammerer) and Kirsten Sjøstrøm (chair of the Stammering Association Copenhagen) – share their experiences without filter. They address questions such as: Can we say "a stammerer"?, How has stammering shaped their choices?, Why is stammering associated with taboo?, and Is there a difference in living with stammering as a young person versus an older person?
Following the videos, the debate opens to discussion in the room – ask questions of the participants, share your perspectives and listen to others' thoughts. The event concludes with snacks, beer and soft drinks in LiteraturHaus' welcoming atmosphere, allowing the conversation to continue informally.
The event is arranged by the Stammering Association Copenhagen in collaboration with Morten Lindegren and Anne-Mette Vinter from Filmspor. You are welcome whether you stammer yourself, know someone who does – or simply wish to learn more.
