An evening of indie rock from two perspectives. Mark William Lewis is a groundbreaking artist from London's experimental music scene, receiving attention from Pitchfork and The Fader. With the album Tomorrow Is Perfect, he presents his most accomplished work to date, which has turned his concerts and music into a cult phenomenon. As the first musician ever, he was signed to A24's record label, where he continues his boundary-pushing work.
Spawner opens the evening – a Danish-based trio that with their debut album Air is Getting Stranger has broken through with both Danish and international critical acclaim. Their sound blends folk, country, punk, grunge and shoegaze through tight vocal harmonies and a raw, melodic aesthetic, with their title track particularly praised by CLASH Magazine.
