Learn more about children's language development in their first year with Anja Elisabeth Sand, a trained music educator and speech-language pathologist. From birth, your child communicates actively, even though words typically appear around the one-year mark. The lecture explores how baby speech and communication develop, and what framework you as a parent can create to best support language growth.
Practical exercises include singing, voice use, and techniques for creating shared attention and strengthening language development. Anja has taught babies and their parents since 2000 and currently works as a speech-language pathologist in Gladsaxe Municipality with children aged 0–16 years, focusing particularly on voice and speech-motor challenges.
The event is part of the "My Child's First" series at Copenhagen Central Library, where various experts explore children's development through expert knowledge and hands-on exercises.
