Experience a captivating and surprising musical evening when two of Scandinavia's most prominent young ensembles meet on stage: the neo-jazz quartet MUSViT and the classical string quartet Absalon String Quartet. The concert unfolds as an innovative genre-crossing collaboration that unites crisp and grand strings, catchy hooks, syncopated rhythms, rap-inspired vocals, hip-hop elements, chamber music and Nordic jazz.
MUSViT has made a distinctive impression with their original blend of free-jazz, hip-hop and Nordic jazz. Their debut EP was nominated for three Danish Music Awards, and their debut album Sukker (released May) has received glowing reviews. Politiken has written: "The band sounds like no one else in Denmark right now." Absalon String Quartet won the P2 Chamber Music Competition 2023 and is known for combining technical precision with a rare ability to communicate directly with audiences.
This concert showcases brand new music and special arrangements of MUSViT songs such as Mavepuster, Sukker and Paparazzi, where the Nordic talents from both bands unfold their full artistic potential together.
