Experience a unique artistic event where music, storytelling and research converge around people's relationship with the sea and coastal culture.
The event combines three elements:
- Live concert with Ghost Coast Choir led by Gustav Rasmussen and Thorben Seierø. The choir performs newly composed works inspired by fieldwork in the West Jutland coastal town of Thorsminde, where the composers engaged in dialogue with locals about work, loss and adaptation to the sea.
- Author presentation by Johanne Pontoppidan Tuxen, who unfolds a landscape narrative about catastrophe and change based on the 1825 storm surge – an event that reshaped the West Coast and created the Limfjord as we know it today.
- Interview and discussion with anthropologist Kristoffer Langkjær Albris from the University of Copenhagen, who researches how people adapt to climate disasters, coastal protection and sea level rise in Denmark.
An evocative artistic exploration of how the sea shapes both landscape and the human mind – through song, narrative and knowledge.
