Nektar is a Swedish indie rock band from Gothenburg that since its foundation in early 2024 has become one of the country's most sought-after new rock bands. With their debut album "Magnolia" – featuring singles such as "Sitt Ner (Lilla Jag)" and "Älskar Dig (Oändligt Föralltid)" – the group quickly established itself as a central force on the Swedish music scene. The band rapidly became a natural part of the indie rock wave and built a fanbase known for its rare devotion and loyalty.
In 2025, Nektar took another major step with the release of their second album "Om du behöver mig", which cemented their position as a leading force in new Swedish rock. The album was warmly received by audiences and critics and was followed by a sold-out autumn tour. The band also concluded Stay Out West with a headline concert at Pustervik in Gothenburg.
Nektar has received numerous accolades: they were named GAFFA's Breakthrough of the Year, and their album is nominated for three Grammy Awards – Best Rock, Best New Artist and Best Music Video.
