Experience public reading for adults at dusk as part of Nordic Literature Week. In the evening, candles will be lit as we read aloud from Swedish author Johannes Anyuru's novel They Will Drown in Their Mothers' Tears. This work explores human fates and emotions with intensity and poetic power.
The event is part of a larger Nordic initiative where libraries and cultural venues across the Nordic region work together to promote solidarity, love of reading, and cooperation across borders. This year's theme is "Democracy in the Nordic Region," and the reading takes place on November 9th as part of a coordinated day featuring readings at dawn and dusk throughout the Nordic countries.
Join us to be part of a community celebrating the Nordic storytelling tradition. Coffee and a cozy atmosphere await as we together enjoy the words of literature.
