The War Museum opens on October 8th the special exhibition 'SIRIUS - on Patrol in the Arctic', offering insight into the daily life of Denmark's Arctic special forces.
The Sirius Sledge Patrol is the world's only military sledge patrol and consists of teams with two men, a sledge, and 13 dogs. Each year, these expeditions cover around 5000 km in Northeast Greenland to secure the Kingdom of Denmark's sovereignty in the extreme Arctic environment.
Through the exhibition, you will learn what it means to work under such extreme conditions and what role the sledge patrol plays both today and for the future Arctic.
