Odd Fellow Palace - Behind the Façade

A fascinating guided historical tour through one of Copenhagen's most magnificent urban palaces. The Odd Fellow Palace, located on Bredgade near Kongens Nytorv, has witnessed over 250 years of Copenhagen's development.

The tour takes you through impressive halls and formal rooms adorned with gilded panels, high stucco decorations, and sparkling crystal chandeliers. You will learn about the former Berckentinski Palace and its subsequent connection to the powerful Schimmelmann family, as well as the palace's history as a concert venue and later as home to the Odd Fellow Order.

Along the way, you'll hear stories about the distinguished figures who have been connected to the place throughout the centuries — including members of the Golden Age cultural elite such as Oehlenschläger, H.C. Ørsted, and Thorvaldsen.
