On Thursday, October 8th, you are invited to an open call and shared dialogue on how the construction industry can influence negotiations on upcoming climate requirements in building regulations through Reduction Roadmap 3.0. There is a significant gap between climate science and Danish legislation within construction – the building code conflicts with the Paris Agreement's 1.5 °C target and poses a risk to the industry's long-term development.
Negotiations on the 2027 building regulations will take place before the new year, and the Reduction Roadmap Association has begun dialogue with parties and stakeholders at Christiansborg. You now have the opportunity to have the industry's voice heard before emission requirements are set. In 2024, over 630 companies, investors, municipalities and organizations signed a requirement that the building code must comply with the Paris Agreement.
Program
- 15.30–16.00: Arrival
- 16.00–16.30: Presentation of Reduction Roadmap 3.0 (Artelia, CEBRA, EFFEKT)
- 16.30–17.00: Concrete actions and shared dialogue
- 17.00–17.30: Networking and sign-up
The event will equip you for concrete political influence. The association presents tools and materials to apply the results in your own context, guidance on signing an open letter to the housing committee, and strategies for influencing the debate through press and social media. You will gain insight into how to mobilize within your organization and what approaches create political dialogue (with Nicolai Nørkjær, Aaen Engineering). Your contribution does not represent the association and requires no membership – it is purely a political desire to limit the industry's contribution to global warming.
The event can be followed online. Initiatives should be sent to [email protected].
