Meet artist Marina in her creative home on Amager for a unique experience blending art history, conversation, and hands-on creative exploration. Marina is an experienced artist with over 30 years of expertise in collage, sustainable art, and unconventional storytelling. Her work explores themes such as recycling, history, gender, taboo, nature, and sexuality, and she works according to a precise, rule-based approach that she describes as "ordered chaos" – a way of working within limitations while embracing unpredictability.
During the Open House, you will have access to Marina's home studio, which is filled with her own artworks, her collection of Haitian art, and materials she has gathered over decades. You will see selected pieces, hear stories from her creative life, and gain insight into the environment that shapes her artistic practice. Afterwards, there will be time to create your own collage with access to Marina's impressive array of magazines, prints, and photographs. You take your own artwork home with you.
