A collectively curated exhibition at the Royal Library exploring photography in contemporary art through the perspectives of five Danish galleries. Each gallery has arranged its own room with artists and works that together paint a picture of photography's current forms and modes of expression.
Among the artists presented, you will find Larissa Sansour, Asger Carlsen, Innuteq Storch, Fryd Frydendahl, Peter Funch, Jane Kin Kaisen and Nicolai Howalt. The exhibition also contains a previously unpublished photo series by Jacob Holdt from the 1970s and works from the Royal Library's collection.
Encounter a wide spectrum of artistic approaches to photography: from classical photographs to experimental installations, video works and hybrid expressions, where photography merges with sculpture and other artistic media. Both established and new voices are presented side by side.
