PRiMi presents exciting concerts every Tuesday, and this time features acclaimed Canadian pianist and composer Lisa Cay Miller leading a unique music project. During this first PRiMi Lab evening, Miller develops, rehearses and performs a special musical offering together with emerging talents from Copenhagen's improvisation music scene.
Lisa Cay Miller improvises and composes with leading musicians worldwide. She is the Artistic Director of NOW Society in Vancouver, where she organizes concerts, workshops and community initiatives in improvised music. The Globe and Mail has called her "one of the leading lights of the new improvisational movement". Miller has performed with musicians such as Satoko Fujii, Adriana Camancho, Luke Stewart, Ken Vandermark, Nicole Mitchell, Ingrid Laubrock and many others. Her works have been premiered by ensembles including Quatuor Bozzini, L'Ensemble SuperMusique and Vancouver New Music, and she has released recordings on the labels Green Ideas, Trytone and Notice.
