This evening explores how we can develop new, meaningful rituals tailored to life's important milestones. The event focuses on combining personal spirituality with nature's ways while drawing on ancient ceremonial traditions.
A well-crafted ritual can connect people with the mystical and magical. Whether celebrating a wedding, remembering the deceased, blessing a new home, or marking seasonal transitions – rituals have the power to move and transform us. Through concrete examples from her extensive experience as a ceremony leader, Annette Høst shares insights from both Western and non-Western traditions. Special emphasis is placed on classical rites of passage, such as coming-of-age ceremonies in various cultures.
You will be introduced to the ritual elements that provide strength and meaning – whether confirming, blessing, transforming, concluding, or celebrating central life moments. The goal is for you to leave with concrete ideas and inspiration to design your own rituals together with family and community.
About Annette Høst: She has worked with animism, shamanism, and ritual for four decades and is the author of "The Earth Sings – On Nature's Power in Nordic Tradition".
